The Nile is a major north-flowing river in northeastern Africa. It flows into the
Mediterranean Sea. The Nile is the longest river in Africa. It has historically been considered
the longest river in the world, though this has been contested by research suggesting that the
Amazon River is slightly longer; White-water rafting, kayaking, boat cruises, bungee jumping.
Entebbe and Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary Tour: 2-3 days
Take a boat cruise out on Lake Victoria to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary and have a chance to
view chimpanzees feeding. You will also be treated to sights of monitor lizards, birds, and
photographic opportunities. We arrange half- and full-day trips, and our boats leave at 9:00am or 12:45pm.

Upon arrival at the sanctuary, you will be directed to our visitor’s center where you
will be introduced to the project, its history, our residents and their plight. On each of the two types of day visits
(half day and full day), you will receive a personal orientation by a chimpanzee caregiver and view
a feeding of the chimpanzees (full day visitors will view 2 feedings) from the visitors’ raised platform
area along the edge of the sanctuary fence.

• Departure from Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Your journey begins with a scenic 4-5 hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, located in southwestern Uganda. The drive takes you through the stunning countryside, passing traditional villages, green vegetation, and lush hills.
o Lunch Stop: You will stop for lunch in a local restaurant or along the way (depending on timing) before continuing your drive.
• Arrival at Bwindi (Evening)
Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in the late afternoon or early evening.
o Accommodation: Check-in to your lodge near the Ruhija sector (e.g., Ruhija Gorilla Lodge or similar).
o Dinner & Rest: Enjoy a delicious dinner, relax, and prepare for the exciting adventure the next day.
Day 2:
Gorilla Tracking in Ruhija & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Early Morning:
• Breakfast & Departure to Ruhija Sector (Gorilla Tracking Briefing) o After an early breakfast, head to the tracking starting point in the Ruhija sector. You will be given a briefing about the gorilla tracking experience and the rules to follow during the trek.
o You'll be divided into groups, and each group is assigned a specific gorilla family to track.
Gorilla Tracking:
• Gorilla Trekking in Ruhija Sector
The trek usually lasts between 2-6 hours depending on the gorilla family's location. The Ruhija sector of Bwindi is known for its steep, dense terrain and stunning biodiversity. The experience of tracking the mountain gorillas is both exhilarating and humbling, as you move through the jungle, guided by experienced trackers and rangers.
o Close Encounter with Gorillas: Once you find the gorilla family, you’ll have a rare opportunity to spend up to one hour in their presence. Watch them feed,
play, and interact with each other – an unforgettable and awe-inspiring moment.
• Return to the Lodge for Lunch:
After the trek, return to your lodge to enjoy a well-deserved lunch.
Afternoon:
• Drive to Lake Bunyonyi
In the afternoon, you will be transferred from Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to Lake Bunyonyi (around a 2-hour drive). Lake Bunyonyi is a peaceful, beautiful lake surrounded by hills and small islands.
• Arrival & Check-in to Accommodation
Upon arrival, check into your accommodation near the lake. Recommended accommodations include Bunyonyi Overland Resort or any lakeside lodge. • Dinner & Relaxation:
Enjoy dinner by the lakeside and relax in the tranquil environment of Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 3:
Morning Boat Ride & Transfer Back to Kigali
Morning:
• Breakfast at the Lodge
Start your day with a hearty breakfast while enjoying the scenic views of Lake Bunyonyi.
• Boat Ride on Lake Bunyonyi:
After breakfast, embark on a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi. The lake, famous for its clear waters
and numerous islands, is an excellent place to enjoy a relaxing morning. You can explore the
islands, including the "Punishment Island," where unmarried pregnant girls were once abandoned
(historically).
o Optional Activities: You can also opt for a guided nature walk or visit a nearby village to learn about local culture and traditions.
Late Morning:
• Transfer Back to Kigali
After the boat ride and some relaxation, begin your journey back to Kigali. This scenic drive takes approximately 4-5 hours.
o Lunch Stop: You will have a lunch stop along the way (on your way back to Kigali), possibly in a local restaurant or roadside café.
• Arrival in Kigali (Afternoon):
You will arrive in Kigali in the late afternoon or early evening. If you need to be dropped off at the airport, your driver will ensure that you are on time for your flight. Alternatively, if you're staying in a hotel in Kigali, the guide will drop you off at your accommodation.
End of Tour
This 3-day tour offers a wonderful balance of gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

and then Gorilla trekking. Option, forest walks, and rural village walks. Hotel
Day 4: Morning breakfast, transfer back to the airstrip for the domestic flight
to Entebbe to catch your international flight.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in the southwestern part of Uganda
on the rim of the Rift Valley. The hillsides which are mist-covered are sheltered by one of
the ancient and very biologically varied rainforests in Uganda that dates back to more than
25,000 years, comprising of about 400 varied plant species. More notably, this “impenetrable
forest” in addition protects an predictable 320 population of mountain gorillas - approximately
half of the population in the world, among which are a number of habituated groups, that can be
tracked by visitors.Bwindi is habitat to more than half the world's population of Mountain Gorillas.

Murchison Falls National Park sits on the shore of Lake Albert, in northwest Uganda.
It's known for Murchison Falls, where the Victoria Nile River surges through a narrow
gap over a massive drop. Park wildlife includes elephants and hippos, and there are
chimpanzees in the Kaniyo Pabidi mahogany forest. The Lake Albert Delta is home to
rare shoebill storks. There are game fish in the cascades of Karuma Falls.
